The site is part of the "Libeccio" shallows and is characterized by a cap which top reaches 24 meters and is called the "Mezzo" or Middle shallows because it is located between the earth and the deepest point of the shoal. It has a high naturalistic value and allows for a particularly difficult dive for both the strong currents and for the high risk in depth.
Fauna: there are many sedentary fish such as bream and groupers, large pelagics such as Kingfish, tuna, etc..are often sighted.
Sessile fauna: hosts the largest colony of red sea fans of the area.
